Welcome to the Growing Words Project!

Our primary study tracks the reading and language development of about 250 children in the Iowa City-Cedar Rapids corridor. Children are tested yearly with eye-tracking tasks and standardized assessments.

We also have additional study opportunities for children ages 6-17, depending on the time of year!

We have two research locations: one for Iowa City participants at the University of Iowa and another in Cedar Rapids.

We offer evening and weekend hours and have financial compensation for participation.
